Ted & Ashley Dowey
Hey friends! We are the Dowey Family. Ted and I have been married for 12 years and are blessed with three amazing biological kiddos: Paisley, Henry, and Brody. We felt the Lord’s call to adopt during a season of infertility between our two oldest children. We waited on the Lord’s timing and direction, beginning the adoption process to Haiti in 2018. Our family is prayerfully awaiting the sweet kiddo God has for us there.
Waiting Child
Our family is pursuing international adoption from Haiti through Lifeline Children’s Services. The Haiti program is slow moving and we have been in process for almost 5 years, but the Lord has been so faithful to continue to strengthen and encourage us in the waiting through His Word, His Spirit, and His people. We are looking forward with anticipation to the day that we receive a match and excited to partner with Both Hands for this project!
Ms. Libby & Ms. Betty
Our project team is overjoyed to be able to come alongside two sweet widows in our community. Ms. Libby is 78 years old and lost her husband 9 years ago after being married 50 years. Ms. Betty is 92 years old and lost her husband in 2008 after 57 years of marriage. Our team is blessed to be able to love on and serve these ladies by doing some projects inside and outside of their homes.
A Different Kind of Fundraiser
A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widow's home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help an orphan to become adopted into a forever family. Will you sponsor us?
